The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal has become a sensation and another all-time blockbuster for the film industry. The movie, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, has been smashing records since its release on December 1. And the film is showing no signs slowing down as it is busy setting new benchmarks at the box office. According to Sacnilk, Animal has been reaching historic heights in the domestic market. The movie has maintained a strong momentum and it is now inching closer to cross Rs 400 crore mark. On its second Saturday, the Ranbir starrer earned Rs 35 crore on day 9, taking the film’s total collections to Rs 395 crore. The film has already minted over Rs 600 crore gross worldwide and rewriting box office records. Animal was given A certificate by the CBFC ahead of its release. The movie has not only become an all-time highest grossing ‘A’ rated film but also Ranbir’s highest grosser till date. The movie showcases a violent world set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir’s Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor. The film’s business will continue conquer domestic and international markets since there is no major release in theatres before Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, which will release on December 21. The second weekend is easily going to be highest ever and the total collections of the second week will also emerge as the highest ever for a Hindi film.
